  • Must where mouthpiece, groin protector, shorts with drawstring that can be tightened around waist (no large pockets on shorts with outside zippers).
  • No wrestling shoes allowed all competitors barefoot.
  • Cannot tape hands, wrists, or feet.
  • Fighters cannot use clothing against opponent.
  • Stalling on the ground can result in the referee restarting the match standing up.
  • The referee can check fighters at any time for cuts, injuries, etc.
  • If competitors go out of fight area they will be moved to the middle of the ring in the position the referee determines.
  • If stalling occurs standing up the referee has the right to start the match in the guard position. The referee will flip a coin to decide who is on bottom and who is on top. 

Time Length

  • All kids, and teen divisions are 3 minutes in length.
  • All Adult Novice/Beginner Division will be 4 minutes in length.
  • All other divisions will be 5 minutes in length. 

Ways to Victory

  • Of course making opponent consciously submit by tapping, or verbally. Competitor can tap with hand, foot, or even a nod of the head if asked by referee.
  • Referee stoppage (cuts, feels fighter cannot defend him/herself), Doctor Stoppage.
  • No contest.
  • Forfeit (not present for match assigned).
  • Judges decision.
  • Corner throws in towel.
  • Disqualification. 

Submission Moves (Legal)

  • Fighters cannot use opponents clothing to apply submissions.
  • All submission techniques are legal unless otherwise noted.
  • If fight does not end in a tap the referee is encouraged to choose a winner based on point scoring system.
  • If a draw is encountered there will be a 2 minute overtime.
  • Any illegal technique used will result in immediate ejection of that competitor/spectator.
